We are the hearing loop experts! As pioneers of the installation of hearing loop systems in the United States, we have had the pleasure of looping hundreds of churches, educational facilities, businesses and public facilities in Michigan and around the country. Whether the venue is small or large, a one hundred year old church or new auditorium, we design the project to keep the integrity of the environment completely intact. What is a hearing loop system?

An induction hearing loop system amplifies sound to people wearing a hearing aid with a t-coil (or telecoil) setting. The "looped" room or area has a thin wire running around it. This wire is hooked up to a special amplifier that sends the sound to the t-coil (receiver) in a person's hearing aid. The sound heard by the person with the hearing aid is often described as crystal clear - it is as if someone is talking directly into their ear. Trying to sort out confusing sounds is no longer a problem because background noise and distractions are eliminated. The listener is provided with a superior sound without the hassle of headphones, or even the removal of their hearing aids.

Induction loop systems can be installed in churches, auditoriums, businesses, homes, etc. Premovation has installed hundreds of these systems around the United States. Hope College social psychologist Dr. David Myers (http://hearingloop.org), a hard of hearing person, began an initiative several years ago to make the Holland/Zeeland area a model hearing loop community. Together with Premovation, this goal has become a reality. With the support of numerous churches, businesses, public facilities, and educational facilities, we have successfully looped the lakeshore, and beyond.

A sign like the one shown here is typically posted at venues that utilize the Hearing Loop System so that t-coil wearers can tune into the sound by switching their hearing aid to the t-coil setting.
